Job description

Responsibilities :

  • Act as the highest-level technical escalation point for Azure infrastructure issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems across Azure IaaS, PaaS, and networking components.
  • Monitor performance, availability, and security of Azure resources using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.
  • Collaborate with architecture and DevOps teams to optimize cloud deployments and implement best practices.
  • Manage and maintain Azure services including VMs, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Azure AD, Storage Accounts, and App Services.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document incident reports.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM / Bicep templates.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and governance standards.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Mentor L1 and L2 support engineers and contribute to knowledge base documentation.

This resource will interface with Functional Managers, IT Operations, Network Operations, Infrastructure teams, Legal, Risk Management, etc.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Azure cloud infrastructure and support.
  • Strong expertise in Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, and identity management.
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI) and infrastructure-as-code (ARM / Bicep / Terraform).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
  • Solid understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud setups and on-prem integration (VPN, ExpressRoute).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
