We are looking for an Operational Engineer who will :

This position is responsible for the effective operation and support of functionalities for our cloud-based SaaS platform Ascendon. You will be playing the role of Operational Engineer 2 with the Ascendon Core Billing (ACB) teams. This team is responsible for build-out of the Ascendon Core Billing component of Ascendon. The Ascendon Core Billing component is a SaaS-based AWS Cloud Native multi-tenanted Billing and Revenue Management system targeting B2C clients for the Telecommunication industry. Additionally the team is responsible for the ongoing operational aspects of the Ascendon Core Billing component in a true DevOps manner. You will be part of a collaborative and motivated global team that builds innovative and progressive solutions for CSGs largest customers.

Act as the first responder for production incidents and exceptions ensuring quick triage and resolution of critical issues.

Collaborate with development QA and architecture teams to improve observability logging and alerting across the application stack.

Handle deployment and configuration of the ACB solution in production environments.

Monitor the functionality and performance of the ACB solution and ensure uptime and reliability.

Create and maintain operational playbooks and SOPs for recurring tasks and incident handling.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning backlog grooming and DevOps activities.

Mentor junior engineers providing guidance and support to help them grow.

Work closely with global teams and stakeholders across time zones to ensure seamless operations.

Is this opportunity right for you We are looking for candidates having :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related technical field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in managing and operating enterprise-grade applications .

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges .

Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools Azure DevOps preferred.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) and relational databases like PostgreSQL or SQL Server .

Experience in deploying and managing cloud-native applications using AWS services .

Exposure to the telecom billing domain is a strong advantage.

Excellent communication and customer support skills .

Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and handle production support.
