Overview
We are seeking a Business Solution Lead with a passion for maritime technology and process excellence. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams — translating operational needs into digital solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and performance across the global fleet.
You’ll work at the intersection of business process optimization and technology enablement , helping to shape the digital future of ship management.
What will you do?
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — Operations, Technical, Procurement, Crewing, and Safety — to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
- Conduct, interviews, workshops and document analysis to create comprehensive Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) .
- Map current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) processes to uncover opportunities for system improvement and digital transformation
- Translate business requirements into actionable user stories and epics using JIRA for agile delivery and sprint planning.
- Align business expectations with IT deliverables through clear communication and structured documentation.
- Coordinate with IT vendors and internal developers for solution design, testing, and deployment.
- Review technical specifications and validate them against business requirements.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) — including planning, test case preparation, and execution.
- Manage change requests, scope, and documentation throughout the SDLC lifecycle .
- Provide post-implementation support and facilitate end-user training for new features.
- Standardize documentation practices and promote process governance across modules.
The Must Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, IT, or a related field.Master’s degree or MBA preferred.Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green / Black Belt) will be an added advantage.5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst , with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role .Proven experience in the shipping or maritime industry , with a solid understanding of vessel maintenance, HSEQ, procurement, audits, and compliance.Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as JIRA and Confluence .Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across global, multicultural teams.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Experience with maritime systems or technical management tools preferred.Proficiency in process modeling using BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart, Signavio , or equivalent tools.What’s on Offer?
