Job Title : Fundamental Analyst

Location : Mumbai

Department : AIF Office

Reports To : Fund Manager

Experience : 5 to 10 years

Education : Graduation in the prefered stream

One of our client's family office specializes in managing diversified investments with a core focus on equity markets. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Analyst to provide data-driven insights, analyze market trends, and support trading strategies through technical analysis.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Market Analysis : Conduct in-depth technical analysis to identify trading opportunities and generate trade signals.
  • Charting & Trend Analysis : Utilize technical indicators, candlestick patterns, and trend analysis to forecast price movements.
  • Indicators & Oscillators : Apply RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci Retracements, Stochastic Oscillator, and Ichimoku Cloud to refine strategies.
  • Backtesting & Optimization : Test trading strategies using historical data to validate performance and risk exposure.
  • Risk Management : Implement stop-loss, take-profit, and position-sizing strategies to optimize trade execution.
  • Market Research : Stay updated on macroeconomic trends, earnings reports, and financial news impacting equity markets.
  • Trade Execution Support : Provide real-time insights and market analysis to traders for timely decision-making.
  • Reporting & Documentation : Prepare daily and weekly market reports, trade recommendations, and performance analyses.
  • PREFERABLE : Algorithmic & Quantitative Analysis : Assist in the development of automated trading strategies and algorithmic models. Technology Utilization : Leverage advanced trading software, AI-driven analytics, and statistical models to enhance research.

Key Qualifications & Experience :

  • 15+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Equity Trader, or similar role in financial markets.
  • Strong understanding of technical analysis, charting techniques, and price action strategies.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling, backtesting, and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience with algorithmic trading, financial modeling, and market simulations.
  • Strong risk management skills, including volatility analysis and hedging strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; CFA, CMT, or FRM preferred.

    • Required Skills & Competencies :

  • Technical Analysis Expertise : Proficient in chart patterns, support & resistance, moving averages, and market cycles.
  • Mathematical & Statistical Proficiency : Ability to apply probability models and statistical techniques for market predictions.
  • Programming & Scripting : Experience with Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis and automation.
  • Trading Platforms & Software : Bloomberg Terminal, Reuters Eikon, TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4 / MT5), NinjaTrader, ThinkorSwim, AmiBroker, TradeStation.
  • Market Data & Analytics : Knowledge of FactSet, Capital IQ, MarketSmith, and advanced Excel modeling.
  • Attention to Detail : Ability to detect market patterns and trade opportunities with precision.
  • Decision-Making Under Pressure : Ability to act quickly in volatile markets with well-calculated risk.
  • Strong Communication Skills : Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for traders and stakeholders.
