Boston Institute of Analytics (BIA) is looking for a driven and student-centric Academic Counselor to join our growing admissions team in Mumbai. This role is ideal for professionals with strong communication skills and hands-on experience in EdTech sales or student counseling.
As an Academic Counselor, you will be the first point of contact for aspiring learners—helping them understand our analytics programs, guiding them through the admissions process, and supporting them in making informed career decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Student Counseling & Guidance
- Provide personalized academic and career counseling to prospective students and parents
- Explain course details, curriculum, fees, prerequisites, and learning outcomes
Admissions & Enrollment Support
- Guide students through the complete admissions process including applications, interviews, and documentation
- Ensure a smooth and positive admission experience
Lead Management & Conversion
- Follow up on inbound leads and inquiries via calls, emails, and virtual meetings
- Apply effective sales and counseling techniques to achieve enrollment targets
Presentations & Counseling Sessions
- Conduct engaging online and in-person counseling sessions, webinars, and presentations
- Clearly communicate course benefits, placement support, and career opportunities in analytics
CRM & Record Management
- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, follow-ups, and student feedback in CRM systems
Career Advisory
- Advise students on career paths, certifications, upskilling opportunities, and job prospects in the analytics domain
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing and admissions teams to improve lead quality and conversion rates
Industry Awareness
- Stay updated with current trends in education, analytics, and emerging technologies
Relationship Management
- Build strong, long-term relationships with students, parents, and educational partners
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience: 1+ year in sales, academic counseling, student admissions, or a similar role
- Communication: Excellent English communication and presentation skills
- Personality: Confident, energetic, customer-focused, and target-driven
- Sales & Negotiation: Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office; experience with CRM tools is an advantage
