Estimator CAD Designer (Electrical & Low-Voltage)

Position Overview

Location- Permanent Remote- South Asia

This role is designed for a senior professional with both technical expertise and strong

organizational skills. The position will be 50% Estimating, 25% Project Management, and

25% CAD Design. You will play a central role in developing accurate proposals, overseeing

awarded projects, and producing technical drawings that support both bidding and

execution.

Key Responsibilities : Estimating (50%)

  • Review drawings, specifications, and RFPs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs for electrical and low-voltage systems.
  • Develop and submit competitive bid packages and proposals.
  • Collaborate with procurement and sales to ensure accurate and profitable pricing.

Project Management (25%)

  • Oversee awarded projects from kickoff through completion.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, submittals, and client communications.
  • Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and client requirements.

    • CAD Design (25%)

  • Prepare and revise CAD drawings, riser diagrams, and single-line diagrams.
  • Support project execution with shop drawings and as-builts.
  • Incorporate redlines and feedback from the field into updated documentation.
  • Ensure all designs meet NEC, NFPA, BICSI, and TIA / EIA standards.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in electrical and / or low-voltage contracting.
  • Proven experience working on projects in the U.S. market (commercial, industrial, or

    • government).

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit a plus).
  • Familiarity with estimating software (Bluebeam, Accubid, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, Title 24, BICSI, TIA / EIA).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

    • Role Focus :

    Senior Electrical / Low-Voltage Estimator (50% Estimating focus).

    Experience : Min 5-6 years in electrical and / or low-voltage contracting, with proven hands-on Project Handling skills.

    Market : Mandatory experience working on projects within the U.S. market.

    Technical Knowledge : Strong knowledge of U.S. codes (NEC, NFPA, BICSI, TIA / EIA, Title 24).

    Software : Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD.

    Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
