Job description5+ years of experience of working on Product development and software Engineering. A Product-driven mindset and approach to problem solving. Strong leadership skills that can be applied within the function as well as cross-functionally. Prior experience of technically developing solutions, software architectures and setting up SDLC practices. Prior experience and / or aptitude towards open-source technologies and on-premise software deployments. Strong technical knowledge and a core skill set consisting of Javascript-based software development frameworks, tools, libraries and methodologies. Up to date knowledge on industry trends, best practices, and change management. Exceptional communication skills with clear verbal and written articulation.
Responsibilities
- Leading frontend and backend Engineering teams by providing tactical and operational management oversight.
- Ensuring consistency and predictability in Product delivery and quality by developing sound SDLC standards, practices and processes.
- Conducting timely reviews of all day-to-day Engineering activities and creating effective action plans to address any inadequacies and / or shortcomings.
- Technically guiding, implementing and building solutions by creating and / or reviewing technology trends, software architectures, documentations, coding guidelines, sprints, release processes and quality standards.
- Participating in Product strategy activities with internal stakeholders responsible for platform development.
- Exploring and validating new technologies, patterns and practices to incorporate into the software development process.
Requirements Needless to say, this role is a combination of proven experience and the ability to think spontaneously.
