Lead Sitecore Developer

Ecolab’s Information Services organization is growing a team of dynamic and high-performing .NET and Sitecore developers, representing diverse backgrounds and specific business functions. A person in this role will be responsible for building and maintaining internally and externally facing web applications while adhering to software quality standards, leading a group of developers through principles of good software design, and coaching and mentoring other developers. They will work closely with the product owners to conceptualize, design, develop, and deploy high-valued enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technology talent with a proven ability to think big-picture and provide deep insights on industry trends / best practices. May research and recommend cloud or third-party tools that can be successfully integrated into a project’s final architecture. Demonstrable working knowledge of Sitecore CMS 8+ is required and verifiable certification is a significant plus. Strong CSS and HTML skills are a requirement as is a good understand of JavaScript and common web frameworks.

Main Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and configure global solutions across a range of clients

Work closely with the project manager, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget

Responsible for application solution quality from design to go-live.

Responsible for communication and collaboration with key stakeholders in the delivery of features

Stay abreast of new emerging web technologies and tools

Ensure software architectures and designs solutions are in alignment with company architectures and standards

Provide technical leadership and direction

Participate in an agile scrum process

Implement DevOps practices - driving automation and reuse of existing technologies to reduce redundancy

Basic Qualifications

8+ years’ experience in .NET Web development

4+ years of Sitecore experience (Sitecore version 8+ preferred)

Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and REST

Front-end development frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, Angular

Experience building responsive websites

Demonstrates analytical ability and critical thinking skills

Skilled in Agile development / methodologies

Takes an innovative approach to problem solving

Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong team player and can work effectively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

B.S. degree in Computer Science, MIS, or demonstrated work equivalent
