Job description

We are looking for a Portal - Application architect and a Digital engine- Application architect for a global IT service provider- based out of Bangalore with 10-12 years of experience.

1) About the Role : Portal - Applications Archit ect : We are seeking an experienced Frontend Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance web applications using ReactJS and Next.js. You will define architecture standards, guide frontend teams, and collaborate closely with backend, DevOps, and design teams to deliver robust and modern digital experiences.

Responsibilities :

  • Architect, design, and oversee the implementation of complex web applications using ReactJS, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Define and maintain frontend architecture patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Drive performance optimisation, SEO, and accessibility improvements across platforms.
  • Collaborate with UX / UI designers to translate design concepts into responsive, maintainable interfaces.
  • Integrate frontend systems with APIs, GraphQL, and backend services.
  • Lead code reviews, mentor developers, and promote continuous learning.
  • Evaluate and implement modern frameworks, tools, and CI / CD pipelines for frontend delivery.
  • Ensure security, testability, and maintainability of the codebase.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define scalable frontend strategies.

Qualifications :

  • Strong proficiency in ReactJS, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and HTML5 / CSS3.
  • Deep understanding of frontend architecture principles, component-based design, and state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, etc.).
  • Experience with Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and API routes in Next.js.
  • Knowledge of Node.js, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Webpack, Vite, Babel, and modern build pipelines.
  • Familiarity with design systems, Storybook, and UI libraries (Material UI, Chakra, TailwindCSS).
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning, code splitting, and lazy loading.
  • Experience with cloud deployment (Vercel, AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Understanding of testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library).
  • Knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG) and SEO best practices.

    • Required Skills :

  • Experience leading distributed teams and large-scale frontend projects.
  • Knowledge of micro-frontend architecture and monorepo management (Nx, Turborepo).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and DevOps concepts.

    • 2) About the Role : Digital Engine - Applications Architect

    The API Development Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and governing the API architecture framework that enables secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations across enterprise systems. The role involves setting API design standards, ensuring best practices in implementation, and driving adoption of API-first and microservices-based architecture.

    Preferred Skills :

  • Strong experience in API design, development, and integration (REST, J2EE, Spring Boot, JSON, REST, Swagger, OpenAPI, SOAP, SMPP, MQ, XML\JSON, JWT and WSDL, Eclipse).
  • With following best practices and standards (i.e. OpenAPI, TMforum).
  • Experience in Java & J2EE development is a must.
  • Build Tools (Maven, Gradle).
  • Experience in API management platforms (i.e. Apigee) – Additional advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with building secure APIs, by following security industry standards and protocols (i.e. OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and TLS).
  • Experience on Oracle Databases, UNIX and shell scripting.
  • Experience on microservices solution development is an additional advantage.
  • Familiarity with message brokers and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge in Telecom domain (i.e EAI, OSS / BSS, SIEBEL, etc) - Optional.
  • Engineering in Telecom, Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent.
