Job Description

Position Title : Engineering Team Leader

Job Purpose :

This key role of Engineering Team Lead is within the Large Power Systems Division Core Packaging group. As an Engineering Team Lead, you will lead a team of design control engineers to solve complex technical problems and lead technical discussions related to genset package mechanical systems. This position will lead the planning and delivery of projects for cost, time and quality as well as mentor and coach team members while staying abreast of current / innovative technologies and deepening their professional network. You will also be responsible to support manage the team workload along with leading project initiatives and demonstrates product development excellence.

Job Duties :

• Provide technical guidance and mentor team members
• Lead global team in the design of new products, processes and / or systems
• Lead discussions and manage customers requirements and expectations
• Resolves complex design issues
• Lead robust product development excellence initiatives
• Lead validation discussions
• Responsible for delivering robust and validated design on time and cost to meet deliverables
• Evaluate and take action on shop support requests
• Ability to communicate technical information in a succinct and accurate manner
• Lead product and supplier strategies with long term vision
• Collaborate with cross functional teams

Product Design and Development : Extensive knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.

Products and Services : Working knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
