Job description

Primary Skills

  • Experienced with MySQL Enterprise Versions Products and should have performed MySQL Upgrades & applied patched
  • Hands-on experience on migration from MySQL to Maria and vice-versa.
  • Configuring & troubleshooting of MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM), Oracle Enterprise Monitor (OEM)
  • Strong hold on MySQL Enterprise backups & logical backups (mysqldump / mysqlpump)
  • InnoDB Cluster & Master-Slave replication configurations & troubleshooting, MySQL Enterprise Audit, Encryption & keyring
  • Open source HA tools like keepalived / tungstun
  • Collaborate with team to develop high performance database functionalities; should be able to resolve MySQL Performance Issues
  • Extensive exposure to public cloud (AWS / Azure) to provide solutions and troubleshoot issues

Secondary Skills

  • Knowledge of MariaDB & NoSQL database will be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
  • Ensure all database programs meet organization & performance requirements
  • User management, space management & shell scripting
  • Close coordination & planning with Client & Project sub-teams
  • Good communication skills to work with foreign clients
