Description

  • Lead the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of functional safety & cyber security engineering topics for commercial vehicles.
  • Manage a team of vehicle cyber security & functional safety engineers, analysts, and specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Formulate, execute & track Cybersecurity projects for TARA / Concepts creation according to industry standards, e.g. ISO / SAE 21434 'Road - Vehicles Cybersecurity engineering', SAE J3061 or similar.
  • End to end development and responsibility of cyber security technologies & functional safety concept towards current EE architecture and towards software defined vehicle architecture.
  • Impact analysis, HARA Analysis, Functional Safety concepts (FSC) & development / review of Technical safety concepts (TSC), supplier moderation and Verification & Validation as per ISO 26262.
  • Plan and track progress to achieve results within the approved project schedules, estimated costs / efforts and quality plan.
  • Effective and timely stakeholder management.
  • Active and engaged member of the TT / S cross-function Diagnostics, Cyber Security, Functional Safety organization.
  • Regional lead for all functional safety processes and work products to be implemented across the globe, working closely with the FUSA center of competency and FUSA managers ensuring these work product are consistent and of the highest quality.
  • Develop and lead local cyber security architects and functional safety engineers through the creation of a culture that prioritizes individual development and high-quality standards for all work products.
  • Work closely with commercial truck system and component owners throughout the development cycle to implement and validate safety goals and security measures according to established global processes.
  • Constantly challenge the status-quo, upgrade team competencies, create new business opportunities.
  • Creation and execution of program / project strategy with roadmap at the team level to continuously expand the current horizon of the present work share at India location
  • As a part of leadership team, ensure alignment to implement the strategy in line with organization strategy
  • Driving Innovation by bringing-in a culture towards problem identification, development of problem statements, generation of new ideas towards solution, create proof of Concepts and build a strong case for an early productization and also patenting.
  • Lead cross functional activities & collaborate with leadership team as needed.
  • Ensure quality and timelines of every deliverable in the programs.
  • Work out efficient processes and improve existing processes to improve the efficiency, excellence and competitiveness of the Business unit.
  • Ensure effective team, customer and supplier communication.
  • Flexible to travel globally based on business need to participate in various supplier discussions, technical and management discussions
  • Ensure Knowledge build-up of team members, performance monitoring and feedback

Qualifications

  • 12 - 18 yrs industry exp with B. Tech / M. Tech in Engineering or any associated disciplines
  • Working experience on Functional Safety or Automotive Cybersecurity
  • 2+ years of experience on direct people management as a line manager of a team size of ~15
  • Prior experience on leading team on developing Cyber Security TARA / Concepts according to industry standards, e.g. ISO / SAE 21434 'Road - Vehicles Cybersecurity engineering', SAE J3061. Good knowledge of CMMI / ISO 14229 / ISO 26262 / ISO 21434 / ASPICE quality standards
  • Deep understanding of the technology / systems engineering is essential for this role
  • Demonstrated credentials on driving innovation
  • Demonstrated credentials on developing and executing project / program level strategy
  • Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment
  • Long term intercultural experience in working with Germany, Eastern Europe and the US
  • Strong experience in Project Management
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity protocols related to vehicle systems and diagnostic data.
  • Experience with telematics platforms, vehicle control systems, and diagnostics software tools.
  • Expertise in data analytics, system integration, and troubleshooting in the context of commercial fleet management.
  • Proven leadership ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
