Network Operations Analyst

Job Summary (List Format) :

• Incident Management :
• Proactively monitor and perform system checkouts to prevent or minimize service outages.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults escalating as needed to restore services.
• Operational Readiness :
• Complete pre-production checklists for new network services.
• Ensure network management tools and processes are updated and staff is trained on recovery procedures.
• Change Management :
• Coordinate and implement network changes in conjunction with Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Engineering teams.
• Support and execute configuration tasks assigned to Network Operations.
• Service Requests & Support :
• Handle service requests and provide operational support for network maintenance.
• Represent Network Operations in initiatives such as vendor reviews asset management and capacity management.
• Support proactive network maintenance to keep infrastructure healthy.
• Process Improvement :
• Own and execute tasks aimed at improving operational support processes technologies or tools.
• Technical Skills & Requirements :
• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or related field (or 3 years of relevant experience).
• Knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF BGP) TCP / IP Layer 2 / 3 switching.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to provide weekend and off-hours support.
• Preferred certifications : JNCIA CCNA or equivalent.
• Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
• Additional Responsibilities :
• Monitor network events and initiate incident response.
• Conduct routine network analysis using automated tools.
• Coordinate on-site activities with vendors (hot hands).
• Collaborate with advanced engineering support.
• Develop knowledge base solutions.
• Apply multicast troubleshooting techniques.
• Utilize network management tools efficiently.
