Incumbent is expected to join Enterprise Business Solutions - Custom development and Analytics team and will be responsible for supporting a large portfolio of custom applications from across the business. The Enterprise Business Solutions provides innovative solutions using modern technologies to support key business needs, and as part of this team, he/she will take part in a fast-paced work environment with tasks consisting of software development, incident resolution, documentation, and strategic technological or process improvements.

Principal Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a team of developers and business partners to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned to business requirements.
• Work directly with business users to gather requirements, clarify ambiguities, and translate needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Design and develop enhancements for Drupal CMS and PHP based applications, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and performance.
• Create and maintain system specifications, interface definitions, and documentation for cross-platform integrations.
• Participate in Agile delivery: estimation, sprint planning, development, testing coordination, releases, and retrospectives.
• Provide application/system ownership including support, maintenance, enhancements, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
• Work with software architects to support, analyze issues and implement recommended fixes/patches.
• Maintain high standards for code quality through reviews, version control practices, and automated/manual testing as applicable.
• Provide on-call and urgent issue support as part of an established support model/rotation.
• Mentor junior team members and interns; provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
  
  

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in application development and/or application support in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, and source control practices (branching, PR reviews, release tagging).
• Ability to create detailed technical specifications from functional requirements and communicate solutions clearly to stakeholders.
  
  

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Required)

• CMS and web application development experience (e.g., Drupal or similar CMS).
• Pytho and PHP-based development (depending on application platform needs).
• Web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery experience preferred).
• Database fundamentals and hands-on usage with SQL Server and/or MySQL.
• Git-based version control (e.g., GitLab, Github or Azure DevOps) and familiarity with CI/CD concepts.
  
  

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Preferred / Nice-to-have)

• DevOps tooling and automation (pipelines, deployment workflows).
• Integration patterns/APIs (REST, authentication basics, logging/monitoring).
• Experience creating architecture diagrams (object/data models), database design artifacts, and use-case flows.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
