Role Overview
The Video Actor performs scripted roles on camera for digital videos, advertisements, social media content, educational media, or other productions. This role demands strong acting talent, adaptability with diverse scripts, and the ability to deliver on-brand, engaging performances for varied audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and perform scripts for video, web, or social media platforms as per project requirements.
- Participate in rehearsals and prepare to deliver authentic, compelling performances during shoots.
- Collaborate with directors, videographers, and production teams to realize the creative vision.
- Improvise and add personal flair to scripted scenes when appropriate.
- Maintain professionalism on set or location, including punctuality, readiness, and adaptability.
- Take direction, participate in feedback sessions, and incorporate revisions quickly.
- Present a wide range of emotions, characters, and styles suited to the content and audience.
- Ensure correct pronunciation, clarity, and engaging delivery, especially for educational or brand-led scripts.
- Contribute to promotional activities—behind-the-scenes vlogs, interviews, or social media engagements if needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Prior experience in acting for video, web, or film (portfolio or demo reel preferred).Strong memorization, interpretation, and improvisational skills.Excellent verbal communication, diction, and expressive ability.Comfortable in front of the camera, and able to deliver multiple takes as required.Professional attitude, punctuality, and openness to constructive criticism.Understanding of camera blocking, basic production workflows, and working with directors.Adaptability for remote or in-studio shoots.Desired Attributes
