Training Superintendent - Simulator

Job Description :

This position develops and directs navigational and technical learning. The Superintendent, Training- Nautical develops company-wide strategic training initiatives, including competence development.

Job Responsibilities :

• Delivers effective induction programs, pre-joining orientation, briefing, and in-house courses.
• Conducts Vessel Handling Courses on the Bridge Simulators.
• Manages and delivers navigational, training for officers & ratings and support to comply with legislation and agreed customer requirements, leads and monitors the company's seafarer related Competence Management System.
• Serves for navigational competence development for all seafarers. Works closely with management to identify learning opportunities and develop appropriate training content to support company growth initiatives.
• Oversees curriculum design, learning tools, and needs analysis / gap management, follow-up evaluations, and resulting curriculum improvements and deliverables.
• Monitors changes in statutory and regulatory training requirements to forecast training needs and ensure appropriate measures are implemented.
• Researches cost-effective training solutions and creates training guidelines for new technologies, navigational, cargo, and planned maintenance software programs.
• Provides regular status reports based on statistics, metrics, ROI, and project and development results.
• Performs other duties and tasks as required.
