O&M Technician I

Job Characteristics :

• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment and systems included in WPS customer contracts.
• Supervises the work of other O&M Technicians
• Supervises contractors working on behalf of Nalco prepares and approves permits for work.
• Capable of performing all Plant Operator functions
• Operates equipment on customer site (Start, Stop and Adjusts as required)
• Performs level 1 maintenance on equipment (clean, grease and replace parts as needed)
• Obtains, analyzes and logs water samples as required
• Takes readings to insure proper process parameters, chemical stock levels and spare part inventory
• Responsible for inspections of plant equipment and performs preventative and emergency maintenance as required
• Supervises chemical deliveries
