Data Engineer

Location : Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune (Hybrid Work model)

Job Summary :

We are looking for a talented GCP BigQuery Developer with strong SQL skills and basic proficiency in Python to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery , and be capable of writing efficient SQL queries to support data transformation, analytics, and reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and implement data solutions using BigQuery and GCP-native services.

Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.

Build and maintain data pipelines to support reporting and analytics use cases.

Perform data validation, profiling , and quality checks to ensure data integrity.

Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and engineers to understand data needs.

Write Python scripts for automation, orchestration, and lightweight data processing tasks.

Monitor and improve performance of BigQuery workloads and queries.

Maintain documentation of data flows, transformations, and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

5 - 8 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or BI development.

Proven hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and GCP data services (e.g., Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Dataflow – optional).

Strong expertise in SQL , including analytical functions, joins, CTEs, and window functions.

Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.

Understanding of data warehouse concepts , data modeling, and normalization.

Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
