Role Description

We’re looking for a Scrum Master who thrives in a startup environment — someone who can blend agile delivery, hands-on problem-solving, and servant leadership to help our engineering teams deliver high-quality software faster and smarter.

You’ll work closely with software engineers, QA, DevOps, and product owners to enable smooth sprint execution and remove roadblocks across projects.

Responsibilities

Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions for one or more agile teams.

Partner with Product Owners to ensure sprint goals are clear, measurable, and achievable.

Track and communicate team progress using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Trello .

Identify and resolve delivery impediments, dependencies, and risks quickly.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement , coaching the team to adopt better practices over time.

Support release planning, velocity tracking, and reporting for leadership.

Guide team members and stakeholders in understanding agile values, principles, and frameworks.

Collaborate with engineering leadership to align sprint objectives with technical priorities and platform milestones.

Ensure agile ceremonies deliver business value — not just process compliance.

Encourage collaboration across engineering, QA, DevOps, and product to streamline workflows and reduce friction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

4–8 years of experience in software development or delivery roles, including 2+ years as a Scrum Master.

Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks ; certification (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP) preferred but not required.

Experience in Azure DevOps or Jira for backlog and sprint management.

Hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, DevOps).

Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.

Proven ability to balance startup agility with disciplined delivery.

Exposure to cloud-based development environments (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
