Roles and Responsibilities

Technical Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of Ceph Storage Engineers to architect, deploy, and manage scalable Ceph solutions.

Architecture & Design : Plan complex, multi-datacenter Ceph infrastructures with high availability and performance.

Deployment & Operations : Oversee installation, tuning, upgrades, and lifecycle of Ceph clusters across environments.

Performance & Capacity : Benchmark and optimize Ceph storage. Conduct capacity planning for growing workloads.

Automation & Python Scripting : Develop custom tools and automate tasks using Python to improve efficiency and reliability.

Upstream Contribution : Actively contribute to the Ceph open-source community code, bug fixes, enhancements.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Build robust monitoring solutions. Resolve critical issues swiftly and systematically.

Backup, DR & Security : Design resilient backup / DR strategies and ensure compliance with security best practices.

Cross-Team Collaboration : Work with infra, dev, and network teams to integrate Ceph into larger infrastructure stacks.
