Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Senior EPPS Consultant to lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of our clients' Enterprise Performance Prediction and Planning Software (EPPS) solutions. This critical role involves deep dives into technical architecture, data integration, and advanced analytical model development to enhance strategic planning, improve forecasting accuracy, and enable robust data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional blend of hands-on technical expertise, profound business planning acumen, and strong consultative leadership to drive successful digital transformation initiatives across complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Requirements Analysis & Solution Architecture :

  • Lead comprehensive discovery sessions with technical and business stakeholders to meticulously gather, analyze, and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements for EPPS solutions, focusing on data sources, integration points, performance, and security.
  • Translate complex business processes and planning methodologies into robust technical designs, architectural blueprints, and implementation strategies for EPPS.

EPPS Configuration & Development :

  • Design, configure, and develop advanced EPPS models, hierarchies, dimensions, calculations, and business rules using platform-specific scripting languages (e.g., Anaplan's Anaplan Way, Oracle EPM's Calc Manager, SAP BPC's Script Logic).
  • Implement and optimize predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms, and statistical models within the EPPS environment to enhance forecasting accuracy and scenario planning capabilities.
  • Customize and develop intricate dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using EPPS native tools and integrated BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to present key performance indicators (KPIs) and business insights.

    • Data Engineering & Integration :

  • Design, develop, and manage complex data integration pipelines between EPPS and various source systems, including ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), HRIS, and enterprise data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).
  • Utilize ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS, DataStage) or EPPS-specific data integration connectors to ensure efficient, secure, and accurate data flow.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data validation routines to ensure data integrity and consistency.

    • Advanced Analytics & Model Optimization :

  • Develop, refine, and maintain sophisticated forecasting models, leveraging advanced statistical methods and Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI / ML) techniques (e.g., Python / R scripting for predictive models) to significantly improve planning accuracy and organizational response agility.
  • Conduct model tuning, performance optimization, and rigorous testing to ensure scalability and reliability of EPPS solutions.

    • Technical Training & Support :

  • Provide in-depth technical training and knowledge transfer to client IT teams, administrators, and power users on EPPS architecture, data models, calculations, and integration processes.
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, integration guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex issues, providing expert-level support and problem resolution.

    • Technical Advisory & Best Practices :

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients on EPPS architecture, system performance, data governance, and best practices for enterprise planning and operational alignment.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technical advancements, product roadmaps, and industry trends in Enterprise Performance Prediction and Planning Software (EPPS) or Enterprise Planning and Support Platform (EPPS) to recommend cutting-edge solutions.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • 5+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in the technical implementation, configuration, and optimization of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) or Business Intelligence (BI) systems, with a strong emphasis on planning, budgeting, and forecasting modules.
  • Deep technical proficiency with at least one leading EPPS platform (e.g., Anaplan, Oracle EPM Cloud (Hyperion Planning, PBCS, FCCS), SAP BPC, Workday Adaptive Planning, OneStream), including model building, calculation logic, data integration, and security configuration.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and advanced SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Experience with data integration methodologies and tools, including API integrations, ETL processes, and scripting for data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services relevant to data warehousing and analytics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment, adhering to US EST office hours.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Certifications in relevant EPPS platforms (e.g., Anaplan Certified Solution Architect, Oracle EPM Cloud Certified Implementation Specialist, SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BPC).
  • Hands-on experience with Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning integration.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and master data management (MDM) principles.
  • Prior consulting experience in a client-facing technical role.

    • Skills :

  • Core EPPS Platforms : Anaplan, Oracle EPM Cloud (Hyperion Planning, PBCS, FCCS), SAP BPC, Workday Adaptive Planning, OneStream.
  • Programming & Scripting : SQL (Advanced), Python, R (for analytics / ML), EPPS-specific scripting languages (e.g., Anaplan's Anaplan Way, Calc Manager).
  • Data & Databases : Relational Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL), Data Warehousing (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery), ETL Tools (Informatica, SSIS, DataStage), Data Modeling (Dimensional, Relational).
  • Cloud Technologies : AWS, Azure, GCP (relevant data / analytics services).
  • Analytics & BI : Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning (concepts & application), Statistical Modeling, Data Visualization (Tableau, Power BI), Business Intelligence concepts.
  • System Integration : API Integration, Web Services (REST / SOAP), SFTP, Data Connectors.
