Job Summary

Unilever Ice Creams will form a standalone separate organization from Unilever effective July '25. We are seeking a dedicated Subject Matter expert for Payroll to join our ice cream division. This role focuses on executing the payroll process for the new organization, which is efficient & effective and fully compliant with regulatory, financial & reputational requirements.

The Payroll Transformation journey that Unilever is currently underway informs & impacts this separation and would be a key factor for the incumbent to consider in their plan. This role will be processing Payroll for several Countries working on as Subject Matter Expert Payroll.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Payroll Operations : ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
  • Accountable to provide key, Region Subject Matter Expertise (SME) Unique payroll solution requirements
  • Review of payroll requirements documentation from payroll vendors and apply best practices
  • Support development of test scripts to test payroll functionality and participate in execution of test scripts
  • Support preparation for parallel run and validation of results (identifying suitable periods for parallel testing, supporting data load / data validation accuracy)
  • Support reviewing all payroll documentation to support live payroll processing
  • Participate in cutover (including validation of data conversion accuracy) and go-live readiness activities
  • Review data input and validate. Benefits, T&A data and integrated support.
  • Review inputs and provide Input via Platform to Neeyamo (Payroll Software).
  • Validate payroll output.
  • Review Payroll GTN and Prepare Checklist spot check for Payroll Regional Approval.
  • Once payroll Approve Prepare – Funding Process and inform Finance. Upload Final reports for finance and support post payroll activities.
  • Updating SOX Controls, Support audit and company Payroll financial statements.
  • Work as a team and support Payroll Pear checks
  • On countries without Local Ops. Payroll hub Prepare Input for Payroll processing and submit for Peer review. Before manger approval

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, with a strong preference for experience within the Americas region.
  • Skills :
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll processes and regulations in the region
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Language : Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in multiple languages are highly desirable.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in payroll management or related fields.
