Job description

What you will do

  • Thickness inspection management and analysis
  • Corrosion management and analysis
  • Inspection plan development / optimization
  • Integrity and engineering assessment / assurance activities like FFS, Rerates, Temporary Repair, Brittle Fracture, Flexibility Analysis, Piping Stress Analysis, Corrosion Evaluations and Remaining Life Studies, etc.
  • Pressure equipment degradation evaluations ( vessels, piping, tanks, and / or pressure relief devices)
  • Monitoring and surveillance of integrity parameters to ensure reliable operations
  • Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and integrity recommendation stewardship
  • Bad actor identification and analysis to reduce equipment downtime
  • Program effectiveness and management which includes, criticality assessments, consequence / complexity rating of fixed equipment, development of fit-for-purpose risk-based strategies
  • Technical oversight and stewardship of work for quality, effectiveness, and efficiency in achieving business unit / manufacturing site objectives.
  • Coordination of work delivery and communication between service providers and business affiliates.
  • Technical mentoring and continuous on-the-job guidance to young engineers.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to an agile and flexible working environment, continuously stay abreast of latest developments in industry standards / practices, bring in learnings / experience to challenge and improve company work processes / practices
  • Data analytics, digital tools / technologies and operationalize upgraded work practices through digital transformation

About You

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical / chemical / materials / petroleum engineering, or related disciplines from a recognized university with CGPA or above
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, LNG, or related industries in the domain of fixed equipment :
  • In-service inspection & corrosion discipline with direct owner user company
  • Design, rerate, and alteration of pressure vessel, piping, and tanks
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of :
  • Static Equipment Industry design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria, including ASME Code Section VIII, Divisions 1 and 2, API 510, API 650, API 620, API 653, API 660, API 661, EN 14015
  • In-depth working knowledge in API 580, API 510, API 570, API 571, API 653, AMPP NACE Standards, BSI ISO / ENI AS Standards, AWS / CSWIP / ASNT NDT Techniques
  • Working knowledge in key sections of ASME Sec Div. 1 / 2, ASME Sec V, ASME Sec IX, ASME Sec Il, ASME , ASME PCC-2
  • Background in mechanical design, selection, fabrication and quality assurance of fixed equipment (pressure vessels, tanks, and piping)
  • Working knowledge of engineering assessment and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools including Ceasar, PV Elite, Sage Plus, Meridium, Credo, SAP, etc.
  • Experience developing repair plan for fixed / static equipment (vessels, tanks, and piping) in operating unit
  • Experience performing inspection data analysis for corrosion rates, API 653 remaining life assessment and risk-based inspection plan development
  • Full cycle risk-based inspection implementation including data collection (coordinating inputs from Process / Operations / Engineering / Maintenance), damage mechanism evaluation, consequence evaluation, risk threshold identification and mitigation ruleset development
  • Enabling final close-out discussion among all stakeholders to implement RBI, recommendations or plan and incorporating lessons learnt from the process.
  • Experience in leading teams, demonstrating appropriate behaviors that promote a sense of ownership and drive continuous improvement through performance KPIs
  • Should not have attended the interview in last one year for the Integrity Engineer position.
