Design and develop HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) tailored for electric buses, including integration with battery thermal management.Work with cross-functional teams to define HVAC performance requirements and constraints, especially relating to power consumption and range impact.Perform thermal simulations and load calculations to optimize system design for performance and energy efficiency.Develop 2D and 3D CAD models using tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Creo.Select and specify HVAC components (compressors, condensers, evaporators, blowers, sensors, etc.).Collaborate with suppliers on component development, validation, and integration.Support system-level testing in lab and vehicle environments to validate HVAC performance, including battery cooling under various drive cycles.Ensure compliance with automotive standards and industry regulations (ISO, SAE, CE, etc.)Create and maintain BOMs, technical drawings, and system documentation.Confirm the design sizing of the Ac in Intercity applicationIdentify the RCA of current Ac IssuesEvaluate the condition of Ac in our BusesSuggest improvements for efficiencyPreferred candidate profile
- Should be a AC system designer specially buses ( EV would be an added advantage)
- Hands on Ac system, on field experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle thermal systems, battery thermal management, and refrigeration cycles.
- Familiar with CAN communication, control systems, and integration with vehicle ECUs.
- Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Flowtherm, GT-SUITE).
- Hands-on experience with HVAC prototyping and testing (environmental chambers, airflow testing, etc.).
