Job description

Job Title : Finance Executive

Department : Finance & Accounts

Location : Mumbai

Reports To : Finance Manager / Head of Accounts

Key Responsibilities :

1. Accounting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns and TDS payments.
  • Assist in preparation of statutory compliance reports and audits.

2. Vendor & Payment Management

  • Process purchase orders (POs) and track vendor invoices.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Follow up with vendors and internal teams for any pending clarifications.

    • 3. Reconciliations & Project Costing

  • Perform internal and external reconciliation of cost sheets for events and projects.
  • Cross-check budgets, expenses, and revenues to ensure financial accuracy for each project.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve discrepancies.

    • 4. Expense & Billing Verification

  • Verify supporting documents for all expenses and billing related to events and projects.
  • Ensure proper approvals and documentation are in place before processing payments.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and management reviews.

    • 5. Employee Reimbursements

  • Process and verify employee expense reimbursement claims in line with company policy.
  • Keep updated records to facilitate smooth audits and internal checks.

    • 6. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare monthly and project-wise financial reports for management.
  • Work closely with internal teams to improve financial workflows and reporting efficiency.

    • Key Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in events, projects, or service industries.
  • Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and basic accounting principles.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
