World Wide Technology is looking for a Senior Kubernetes Network Engineer to join our existing team.
Position : Senior Kubernetes Network Engineer
Location : Remote
Duration : 6+ Months Contract
Responsibilities :
- Work with the client to define infrastructure requirements to prepare tenants to support target applications which will be migrated on to Red Hat OpenShift / OpenStack and Wind River IaaS Platform from VMWare.?
- Develop High- and Low-level designs for tenant designs along with the assigned internal Architect
- Work with Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) and container platforms (OpenShift / Kubernetes)?team for cloud-native deployments
- Work with Windriver IaaS platform for cloud deployments
- Ensure any infrastructure requirements demanded by the workloads are catered for by the infrastructure.?
- Liaise with stakeholders and attend remote workshops with application owners and teams, and application vendors
- Liaise with the client operations teams to align on tenant design and build activities.
- Create methods of procedure to build out tenants to specification and ensure they are ready for use, following testing and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure alignment with automation framework for integration and zero touch provisioning at scale.
What we are looking for,
Experience designing and building on-prem Kubernetes environments, preferably on Red Hat and Windriver platforms. Deep expertise of large scale Kubernetes architectureDeep experience of Baremetal Kubernetes Networking, pod networking and a deep understanding of NAT (including source natting)Experience with Calico, Cilium and MultusExperience with DNS in virtualized environmentsHighly skilled with load balancing in a Kubernetes environment, and traffic routing and manipulation, understanding ingress and egress flowsKnowledge of traffic policy and enforcement techniquesExperience directly of working with on-prem Redhat / Windriver Kubernetes platformsExperience directly in preparing OpenShift / OpenStack tenants ready for application onboardingExperience using Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring, and integrations required at a tenant levelExperience working in a Telco environment.?Troubleshooting with tcpdump, iptables, eBPFExpert in TCP / IP, VLANs, routing, and load balancing, knowledge of Cisco VXLAN (including NDFC) and Arista networking. Experience integrating clusters with network underlay.Experience building High- and Low-level design documents?Collaborate and respect the needs of a wide range of stakeholdersHave a flexible and ‘can do’ attitude with a strong sense of initiative with the ability to learn fast and deal calmly with situations under pressureHave strong organization and planning skills to manage multiple tasks so that promises are deliveredExperience deploying Kubernetes?
