Job description

Faculty of Management & Commerce, Poornima University required Professors / Associate Professors / Assistant Professors for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses who have a strong academic background and industry exposure in the areas of Digital Marketing, Marketing and Business Analytics. The candidate will be expected to contribute to curriculum development, conduct high-quality research, publish in peer-reviewed journals and overall development of the Management & Commerce department.

Key Responsibilities :

Teaching & Academic Duties :

  • Design, develop, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of Digital Marketing, Marketing and Business Analytics.
  • Utilize modern teaching tools and pedagogical techniques, including experiential learning, case studies, simulations, and digital platforms.
  • Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.
  • Prepare course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools aligned with program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with academic and industry partners on research projects and grant proposals.
  • Participate in academic conferences, workshops, and seminars to present research findings.

Industry Engagement & Curriculum Development :

  • Engage with industry to align curriculum with current trends and future skills in Digital Marketing, Marketing, and Business Analytics.
  • Facilitate internships, industry projects, and guest lectures for students.
  • Develop MOUs and partnerships with corporates and other academic institutions.
  • Mentorship & Student Development :

  • Mentor students for career planning, skill development, entrepreneurship, and higher education opportunities.
  • Promote student engagement in competitions, case challenges, and innovation projects.
  • Administrative & Institutional Contribution :

  • Participate in departmental committees, quality assurance processes, and accreditation activities (e.g., NAAC, NBA).
  • Contribute to strategic planning, program development, and other university initiatives.
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • Ph.D. in Management, Commerce, or a relevant discipline (with specialization in Digital Marketing / Marketing / Business Analytics).
  • Skills & Competencies :

  • Strong subject matter expertise and ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Innovative approach to curriculum delivery and student engagement.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with academic and industry stakeholders.
