Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Active Directory & Email / Domain Migration Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing Active Directory (AD) environments leading email and domain migrations and ensuring seamless integration across systems. You will play a key role in planning executing and supporting the migration of Active Directory email services (e.g. Microsoft Exchange Office 365) and domain infrastructure to meet organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

Active Directory Management :

Administer and maintain Active Directory environments including user accounts groups organizational units (OUs) and security policies.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Active Directory replication Group Policy and domain controller performance.

Implement and manage Active Directory forests domains and trusts.

Conduct regular audits backups and recovery of Active Directory data.

Ensure proper user provisioning and de-provisioning workflows.

Email & Domain Migrations :

Lead the planning coordination and execution of email and domain migrations (on-premise Exchange Office 365 Google Workspace).

Migrate email systems domains and associated resources with minimal downtime and disruption.

Configure and migrate mailboxes distribution lists public folders and contacts to new environments.

Manage DNS records SPF DKIM and DMARC configurations during migration processes to ensure seamless mail flow.

Implement and support hybrid cloud environments (Exchange / Office 365) and related tools.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting :

Provide technical support to users and teams during migration efforts addressing issues related to access permissions and connectivity.

Resolve complex technical issues related to Active Directory email systems and domain infrastructure.

Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure that changes are implemented successfully and meet business needs.

Project Management & Documentation :

Develop and maintain detailed project plans for Active Directory and email / domain migration projects.

Document migration strategies processes configurations and post-migration reviews.

Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices during all stages of migration.

Training & Knowledge Sharing :

Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior staff and end users regarding new Active Directory configurations email systems and domain management.

Stay up-to-date on the latest trends tools and best practices for AD management email migration and domain configurations.

Qualifications : Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience :

5 years of experience with Active Directory administration including experience with domain controllers Group Policy replication and security configurations.

3 years of experience leading email migrations (e.g. Microsoft Exchange Office 365 Google Workspace).

Strong understanding of DNS SMTP LDAP and security protocols (e.g. SSL TLS etc.).

Proven experience with domain migrations (internal / external DNS domain trusts etc.) and supporting cloud environments (Office 365 Exchange Online).

Certifications (preferred) :

Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate

Microsoft Certified : Windows Server or Identity and Access Administrator

Microsoft Certified : Security Compliance and Identity Fundamentals

CompTIA Security or other relevant certifications

Technical Skills :

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server Office 365 Administration and Exchange Hybrid Configurations.

Expertise in Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and related technologies.

Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for Active Directory and Exchange automation tasks.

Strong knowledge of DNS DHCP and related networking protocols.

Soft Skills :

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams and interact with end users.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Connect.

Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.

Experience with cloud-based migration tools and third-party migration software.
