Test Engr II

Technical & Functional

  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using Python and other relevant tools
  • Introduce automation in the testing process to enhance efficiency, using tools such as PyTest, or Robot Framework.
  • Gets involved in Requirement reviews to ensure completeness of Deployment scenarios, Use cases & Testability aspects of Functional & Non-Functional requirements
  • Closely works with Offering Team, understand the customer requirements and derive, Develop Acceptance Criteria to validate the product against acceptance criteria.
  • Co-Work within scrum team plan the Testing activities, Estimate the efforts, Raise Product defects and conduct effective triage.
  • Develops Test Case, Test Plan & Test strategy to validate the Functional, Non-Functional requirements for product
  • Develop Regression Test Strategy based on Impact Analysis of fixed defects
  • Identifies Test Automation & Simulation requirements early in the life cycle & supports in execution of the same
  • Provides debug support to Development Team to identify root causes of defects
  • Develops and maintains Defect Report on daily basis and weekly report out

Business Acumen

  • Participates in Observation Voice of Customer (OVoC) and in Concept reviews in early phases of Product Development Life Cycle as needed
  • Stays up to date with happenings in the Industry & Competition space of the relevant business verticals and drives best practices in Mobile / Cloud / Big data testing.
  • Has clear understanding of product roadmaps and release plans.
  • Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in project engineering / testing in relevant industry space
  • At least 3 years of experience in in leading the technical and delivery
  • Strong technical competency on Fire Alarm systems domain
  • Should have in-depth hands-on experience in installing, commissioning & maintenance of fire alarm system – Preferred experience in Honeywell brand Fire Panels
  • Knowledge of Various Fire Detector working principle, and its applications is a must
  • Experience of usage of Fire Panel commissioning tools is mandatory
  • Experience of testing and troubleshooting of Fire panel at site for proper functioning & Inspect is must
  • Hands on work experience on VESDA, Beam Detector, Flame Detectors, Line Detectors are added advantage
  • Capable of understanding product software requirements and design test cases.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python is added advantage.
  • Experience in writing scripts for test automation.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks such PyTest
  • or any other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) tools .Excellent verbal & written communication.
  • Fluent in business language - English speaking, writing, Listening
  • Should be able to understand & communicate complex technical terms into layman understanding acronyms
  • Experience in MS Office tools like, Outlook, Excel, PPT & Word.
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills are must to have for this role
  • Experience handling Multi-Disciplinary Project is added value
  • Discover the problem, Deep dive to details, finding the root cause is essential skill
  • Demonstrates Influencing skill with supporting data is key quality
  • Adapt to organization initiatives, learn Process, Implement & improve product quality
  • Have good understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies and SDLC / STLC process
  • Exposure to EPIC, Stories, Project Tasks, Project planning sheet is an advantage
