As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems—including yield bring-up, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital / Analog / RF / optical systems, test systems, FPGA, and DSP systems—to develop cutting-edge, world-class products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and meet stringent performance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronics Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of hardware engineering or related experience,
- OR
- Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience,
- OR
- PhD and 2+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field.8+ years of hardware engineering or related work experience.2+ years of experience with circuit design (digital, analog, RF).2+ years using schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.2+ years working with hardware measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and RF tools.1+ year in a technical leadership role (with or without direct reports).Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Leverage advanced hardware knowledge to plan, optimize, verify, and test critical electronic systems, circuits, and mechanical / Digital / Analog / RF / optical systems.Integrate complex features into hardware designs aligned with product roadmaps.Conduct complex design simulations and analyses, implementing solutions optimizing power, performance, and area.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, verification, software, systems, architecture) to incorporate new requirements and test solutions that improve yield, test time, and quality.Evaluate, characterize, and develop novel manufacturing solutions for leading-edge products in advanced processes.Drive innovation, automation, and optimization to maximize productivity and reliability of critical materials and techniques.Identify potential design flaws, compatibility, or compliance issues in complex features.Author detailed technical documentation for complex hardware projects.Level of Responsibility
