Job description

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Lead Engineer who will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade WordPress solutions. While WordPress expertise is the core requirement, experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and other headless CMS platforms is a strong plus. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and open to working across different CMS platforms based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage end-to-end WordPress development projects, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Architect and implement custom themes, plugins, and integrations tailored to business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, design, QA, and DevOps to deliver seamless CMS experiences.
  • Evaluate and recommend modern CMS solutions, including headless CMS platforms, based on project needs.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, driving best practices in coding, performance optimization, and security.
  • Ensure timely delivery, manage code reviews, and maintain documentation for technical implementations.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Strong expertise in WordPress architecture, plugin development, and custom theme creation.
  • Hands-on experience with PHP, JavaScript (React / Node.js), HTML5, CSS3, REST / GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other enterprise CMS platforms.
  • Exposure to Headless CMS (e.g., Webiny, Concentful, Strapi, Sanity, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver complex CMS projects.
  • Nice to Have :
  • Experience migrating or integrating between multiple CMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of performance testing, SEO optimization, and accessibility standards.

  • Strong communication and client interaction skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with flexibility to work on any CMS platform as required.
