ITW Global Automotive in India has 2 manufacturing facilities in Pune & Chennai and caters to majority of the Auto OEM’s both national and multinational and their tier suppliers.

JOB DESCRIPTION : The opportunity :

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing plastic automotive fasteners and components meet established quality standards. This role involves overseeing inspection processes, managing quality documentation, addressing non-conformities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with automotive quality systems and a strong understanding of warehouse operations.

What your role would be :

  • Liaise with Third Party auditors (TUV) to ensure compliance during recertification Audits / Surveillance Audits of IATF / ISO specifications.
  • Liaise with MSIL QAVSA auditors to ensure compliance of respective area during the Audits. To ensure compliance of SOC Audit during MSIL VSA (Vendor System Audits) as per schedule & MSIL requirements.
  • Prepare & maintain Quality Plan, Inspection Standard / MISP, Control Plan, OPS of Product to ensure good quality part with Zero defect.
  • Monitor and maintain COPQ & QA manpower cost as per target.
  • Support in APQP process of New Project development. Ensure smooth new project launch with zero defect during SOP+90 days.
  • Ensure & communicate with customer for intime Joint Inspection of Parts for new Project or Carryover Parts as per customer new model launch program.
  • To ensure Part Revalidation intime as per Layout plan submitted to customer (MSIL & Honda).
  • To ensure & conduct compliance of MSIL VRSA (Vendor revalidation System Audits) as per schedule & MSIL requirements.
  • Ensure IFM (Initial Flow Management) of new Project part / Carryover parts during SOP+90 days
  • Training & education to Team members, QREs, Warehouse casual employee on quality standards, IATF, Safety, Inspection and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, reducing defects, and enhancing overall product quality.
  • Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on quality metrics, leading data-driven initiatives to address areas of improvement.
  • Participate in new product launches by conducting design reviews, risk assessments, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the development process.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in response to quality issues, customer complaints, or non-conformances.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications to uphold product quality and safety.

What your educational qualification & experience will be :

  • Min. 15 Years of Proven experience in quality management within a Automotive plastic injection moulding facility, including knowledge of moulding processes and procedures.
  • Having Min. 3-4 Years of Managerial level Experience.
  • In hand Experience with IATF-16949 standards, quality systems, and certifications.
