Job Title : Safety Supervisor (Construction / Steel Plant Projects)

Location : East Zone (Odisha - Jajpur)

Work Type : On-site | Contract / Long-term Project

Experience : 8 –15 Years

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Supervisor to ensure safe working practices across large-scale industrial and construction projects . The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing site safety operations involving riggers, welders, fitters, and scaffolders , with strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Monitor daily site activities and enforce safety protocols across all operations (lifting, rigging, fabrication, welding, scaffolding, etc.)

✅ Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBTs) , Job Safety Analysis (JSA) , and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)

✅ Ensure compliance with all statutory safety regulations and company safety management systems

✅ Supervise and guide riggers, welders, and fitters to maintain safe work behavior

✅ Carry out regular site inspections and prepare safety performance reports

✅ Investigate and report any incidents, near misses, or unsafe acts

✅ Conduct safety induction and refresher training for all site personnel

✅ Coordinate with project, maintenance, and contractor teams for proactive safety implementation

Qualifications

Education :

ITI / Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil preferred)

Post Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS)

Certification in Rigger / Scaffolding / Welding Safety – preferred

Experience Requirements

Minimum 8+ years in safety supervision roles across construction / steel / oil & gas / power projects

Experience handling multi-skilled manpower (riggers, welders, fitters, scaffolders)

Strong understanding of permit-to-work systems, confined space entry, and lifting operations

Prior exposure to EPC / industrial / fabrication projects preferred

Skills & Attributes

Sound knowledge of statutory and client-specific HSE standards

Excellent leadership and communication abilities

Ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement preventive measures

Competence in report writing, incident investigation, and root cause analysis

Additional Details

Compensation : Competitive and commensurate with experience

Joining : Immediate or within 30 days preferred

Preferred Candidates : Those with experience in steel plants / EPC / construction / fabrication projects
