Resident Engineer (Civil 2)_BID

Missions / Main Duties :

• On-Site Supervision & Quality Control : Directly supervise all civil construction activities (e.g., excavation, deep foundations, concrete works, structural erection, waterproofing) within the station, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Method Statement Review & Approval : Review and approve contractors' method statements, work plans, and technical submittals, ensuring proposed construction procedures are safe, efficient, and compliant.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting : Closely monitor construction progress against the project schedule, identify potential delays or issues, and prepare daily / weekly / monthly progress reports for stakeholders.
• Technical Issue Resolution : Serve as the primary point of contact for technical queries on-site, providing immediate solutions or escalating complex issues to the design team for resolution.
• Safety & Environmental Compliance : Enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site, conducting regular inspections and ensuring all works are carried out safely.
• Inspection & Documentation : Conduct regular site inspections, witness tests, and maintain comprehensive records of all construction activities, including daily diaries, inspection reports, and as-built documentation.
