About the Role :
The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for conducting internal audits, assessing internal controls, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong analytical, reporting, and risk assessment skills to provide valuable insights and strengthen the organizations financial governance framework.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs) :
- Plan, execute, and report internal audits across business units and functions.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements.
- Review financial statements, accounting processes, and reporting accuracy in line with applicable standards.
- Identify potential financial, operational, and compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Assess adherence to company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Perform audit testing, prepare working papers, and document audit findings.
- Provide actionable recommendations to management for process improvements.
- Coordinate and follow up on implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
- Support management in developing and maintaining a risk-based annual audit plan.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure alignment and avoid duplication of efforts.
- Conduct special audits or investigations as required by management.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal control best practices.
- Present audit reports to senior management with clear insights and recommendations.
Required Skillsets :
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and internal control frameworks.Experience in financial, operational, and compliance audits.Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.Strong knowledge of risk management practices and frameworks.Proficiency in audit tools, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), and MS Office Suite.Exceptional report writing and presentation skills.High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.(ref : iimjobs.com)
