Job Description : QMS Support Consultant

Location : Chennai, India

Experience : 6 - 10 Years

Shift Requirement : Must be flexible and ready to work in shifts (rotational or fixed, as per business needs).

Overview

We are seeking experienced QMS (Quality Management Systems) Support Consultants to provide expert functional and technical support for critical applications in a manufacturing environment. This role requires extensive hands-on experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications, a strong customer focus, and the ability to troubleshoot application issues.

Core Responsibilities

Application Support : Provide L2 / L3 functional and technical support for QMS applications- Trackwise and Veeva Vault Quality.
Incident & Problem Management : Manage and resolve incidents and problems in alignment with ITIL best practices, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing and quality operations.
Troubleshooting : Perform in-depth technical analysis and troubleshooting, including system logs review, database query execution, and code analysis (where applicable) to diagnose and resolve application issues.
Configuration & Maintenance : Execute system configuration, master data updates, and application maintenance tasks (e.g., patch deployment, system health checks).
Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation for support procedures, system configurations, and incident resolutions.
Stakeholder Communication : Effectively communicate with business users, IT teams, and external vendors regarding issue status, resolution, and system availability.

QMS Expertise :

Mandatory practical experience supporting Trackwise and / or Veeva Vault Quality (or similar leading QMS platforms).

Strong understanding of core Quality Processes (e.g., Deviation, CAPA, Change Control, Audit Management).

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in SQL (writing queries for data analysis and troubleshooting).

Experience with Application Integration concepts and troubleshooting (e.g., interfaces with ERP, LIMS).

Process & Soft Skills :

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Experience working in an ITIL-based support environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Direct knowledge of Manufacturing IT application architecture and landscape.

Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or regulated manufacturing industry.

Familiarity with other supporting technologies (e.g., Reporting tools, OS / Server maintenance).
