Responsibilities
- Head the design and development of Java-based applications using SQL, Spring, and Hibernate frameworks
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and deliver new features
- Develop clean, scalable, and efficient code
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance code for improved performance and scalability
- Mentor and support junior developers with coding best practices and design patterns
- Review code to ensure compliance with coding standards and guidelines
- Engage in requirement gathering and analysis
- Create and implement unit tests to ensure code reliability
- Integrate software components with third-party programs
- Ensure code quality, organization, and automation are maintained
- Enhance applications for optimal speed and scalability
- Pursue continuous improvement by exploring new technologies and alternatives
- Document development phases and monitor systems
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection regulations
- Oversee project timelines and deliverables
Requirements
Demonstrated experience as a Lead Java Developer with 5+ years of professional experience1+ years of experience in a leadership roleAdvanced programming skills in Java, with expertise in object-oriented design principlesProficiency with Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring, and HibernateStrong knowledge of SQL and experience with distributed storage systems like DB2, OracleFamiliarity with web development frameworks (Angular or React)Proficient in code versioning tools, such as GitExceptional problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication and team collaboration abilitiesBachelors degree in Computer Science or a related fieldExperience with Agile development methodologiesCapability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficientlyNice to have
Experience with MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, and other RDBMS ToolsFamiliarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelinesPractical knowledge of Unix / Linux environmentsWe offer
