We are looking for an experienced
Electrical Engineer
to be part of our Operations Integrity Governance team at our Mumbai Head Office. You will serve as the
Technical Authority for Electrical Engineering , providing assurance, technical guidance, and leadership across multiple assets and projects. What You Will Do
Serve as the
Technical Authority – Electrical Engineering
for offshore and brownfield projects.
Ensure compliance with company, regulatory, and international codes and standards for all electrical systems and design deliverables.
Provide discipline input into Asset Integrity, Brownfield Projects, and Operations & Maintenance activities.
Support Management of Change (MOC), risk assessments, and operational readiness reviews.
Monitor equipment and systems performance within design envelopes and SCE standards.
Lead design verification processes and ensure third-party compliance for Safety-Critical Elements (SCEs).
Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SAFOP, and other HSSE-related reviews.
Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Review concession requests and serve as Barrier Owner for assigned SCE elements.
Provide day-to-day competent advice to offshore and onshore operations teams.
Develop scopes of work, review design deliverables, and ensure engineering quality from contractors.
Participate in vendor qualification, bid evaluation, and technical reviews.
Prepare technical reports and progress updates for management decision-making.
Conduct offshore visits for inspections, support, and verification as required.
Support development of operational manuals, inspection programs, and assurance plans.
Provide competence assessments for Responsible Person Electrical (RPE) roles offshore.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Electrical Engineering
or a relevant discipline.
Proficient in functional assurance processes, risk assessment, and design verification.
Experience
15–20 years
of in-depth experience in
electrical and power system design
for
offshore oil & gas production facilities , preferably
FPSOs .
Experience in
offshore facilities design is a must ; prior experience in an
Oil & Gas Operating Company
is preferred.
Hands-on experience with
ETAP, EDSA, LUXICON , or similar design software.
Proven track record in
power generation and distribution, power management, and load shedding systems .
Strong understanding of
hazardous area equipment ,
IEC 60079 , and
ATEX directives .
Knowledge of
international design codes and standards
for medium and low-voltage electrical systems.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.
Creative, pragmatic problem-solver with a structured approach to design assurance.
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities—able to coach, mentor, and influence.
Fluent in English (oral and written).
