Job Title : Backend Developer (Node.js, GraphQL & AWS)

Location : Bangalore (Hybrid)

Job Type : Contract

Duration : Long term

Notice Period : Immediate -15 days (only)

Experience : 4 – 6 Years

Role Overview :

As a Backend Developer , you will contribute to key initiatives, building robust and scalable backend systems. You’ll work closely with product and project managers, other engineering teams, and senior leadership to design, develop, and deploy impactful technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Contribute to initiatives that support the developer workflow from pull request (PR) creation to release.
  • Develop innovative and scalable technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with partner engineering teams to provide technical input, support, and guidance.
  • Mentor and coach developers, conduct performance reviews, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Document technical solutions clearly and present them to both technical and business audiences.
  • Advocate for engineering perspectives and best practices in team discussions.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, taking full ownership of your work throughout the sprint cycle.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • 3+ years of Node.js experience – Strong backend development experience.
  • 2+ years of GraphQL experience – Experience building and maintaining GraphQL APIs.
  • AWS – Familiarity with Lambda , S3 , ECS , RDS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Redis – Experience with caching and messaging systems.
  • PostgreSQL – Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • TypeScript – Expertise in building applications using TypeScript.
  • Testing & TDD – Experience with unit testing , functional testing , and Test-Driven Development (TDD) .
  • Fluent in English – Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Bonus Skills (Preferred) :

  • Terraform – Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
  • Kafka – Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka.
  • CI / CD – Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipelines.
  • DynamoDB – Experience with NoSQL databases.
  • React.js – Frontend experience using React.
  • Elixir / Rust – Experience with alternative backend languages.

    • Technical Environment :

  • Tech Stack : TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS, RDS)
  • Development Practices : Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, code reviews, CI / CD.
  • Deployment : Automated deployment with Terraform and GitHub Actions on AWS.
  • Agile Practices : Active participation in daily standups , sprint planning , story detailing , and retrospectives .
