Head of Investment Banking

As a Head of Investment Banking on the buy side is responsible for

managing a portfolio of investments, generating profits for a firm, and leading a team

to identify and execute investment opportunities. Their role includes

conducting thorough financial analysis, building complex financial models, and making strategic investment recommendations

for their firm, such as asset management, private equity, or hedge funds. This position requires a deep understanding of financial markets and a focus on long-term risk-adjusted returns. This is for a CAT 1 and CAT 2 fund.

Key responsibilities

Investment strategy and execution :

Oversee the creation and execution of investment strategies for the firm, making buy, hold, or sell recommendations based on in-depth research and analysis.

Team leadership :

Mentor and develop the investment team, setting a vision for growth and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Financial analysis and modeling :

Direct the creation of financial models and perform valuation analyses to forecast performance and identify promising investment prospects.

Risk management :

Focus on identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring that investments align with the firm's overall financial goals and risk tolerance.

Client and stakeholder relations :

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and senior decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor and communicating the firm's investment strategy.

Market analysis :

Stay informed about industry trends, market performance, and macroeconomic conditions to guide investment decisions.
