Lead Procurement Analyst

As a Lead Procurement Analyst in our Global Indirect Procurement team, you will : Lead and manage spend categories, develop strategies and negotiate contracts for products, services, and suppliers

Contribute to category saving targets for multiple categories and supplier performance

Review and analyse contract data, business goals and market conditions to identify cost saving opportunities

Determine deal strategy and control all aspects of contract negotiations and cost-effective supplier assessments

Act as a key point of contact for global stakeholders for indirect procurement activity and develop and maintain strong relationships with business units

Develop knowledge of the business needs, expectations, priorities and goals

Help to plan and execute sourcing strategies that guarantee the most optimum commercial position for Dr. Martens

Drive RFPs aligned to business needs

Identify new services and valuable suppliers able to bring tangible value, innovation and competitive advantage for our business

Oversee the procurement process from start to finish, and provide improvement initiatives where appropriate

Regularly review the indirect supply base, provide consolidation and reduction initiatives, foster solid partnerships with strategic vendors

Provide regular reporting against procurement KPIs

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

Must-Have Experience :

6+ years of Sourcing, Procurement experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, education

Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills

Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders

Ability to influence stakeholders and cross functional teams to drive agenda

A team player with ability to work with people from all corporate levels

Tenacious attitude to drive process improvement

Strong data collection, collation and representation skills

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills - Ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and formulate effective action plans to resolve issues.

Customer and service centric mind set, placing the user at the heart of the solution

Able to multi-task and respond quickly and effectively to the challenges faced in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, able to plan and prioritize workload

Desirable skills / experience :

Experience of working within a fast-moving, global retail environment

Experience defining and implementing strategy in multiple indirect procurement categories

Experience in line management

Technical Skills :

Excellent analytical skills particularly within Excel and / or Power BI

Soft Skills :

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Ability to take initiative and work independently
