About the Role :

Were seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our core tech team. In this hands-on role, youll help design, build, and scale mission-critical backend systems that power Karbons fintech solutions used by thousands of businesses daily.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
• Take end-to-end ownership of microservices for payments, credit workflows, onboarding, etc.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver seamless customer experiences
• Optimize performance and reliability with Redis caching, efficient DB design, and robust coding practices
• Write clean, maintainable, and test-driven code (JUnit) in a modern CI / CD environment (Jenkins, Maven, Git)
• Refactor and improve legacy systems for scalability and maintainability
• Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously improve the tech Skills
• 5+ years backend development experience in Java (fintech / banking / payments preferred)
• Strong expertise in Core Java, collections, exception handling, and logging frameworks
• Solid experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
• Proficient in SQL databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL) and caching (Redis)
• Hands-on with CI / CD tools - Jenkins, Maven, Git
• Familiarity with AWS is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and system design skills
