Role Overview :

The Senior Database Architect will be responsible for architecting, managing, optimizing, and securing enterprise-grade database ecosystems across on-premise and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS). The role involves planning scalable solutions, handling large datasets, ensuring high availability, driving automation, and leading database modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Architect, design, and manage SQL Server database environments across on-premise and cloud platforms
• Oversee installation, configuration, and lifecycle management of large databases (up to 20+ TB)
• Design high-availability architectures including Always On, Clustering, Log Shipping, and Replication
• Implement robust Disaster Recovery frameworks ensuring minimal downtime
• Lead performance optimization initiatives including query tuning, indexing, and workload analysis
• Drive database automation using PowerShell, SSIS, and SQL tasks
• Develop and maintain SSIS packages, SSRS reports, and data pipelines
• Lead Azure / AWS migration projects including planning, execution, and validation
• Define database standards, governance, and security policies
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and ensure long-term fixes
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for seamless release cycles
• Provide 24x7 support for critical systems and mentor junior DBAs
• Implement and manage data warehousing, data engineering pipelines, and Azure Data Factory workflows
