Job description

1. Strategic Financial Planning & Leadership

  • Define the company’s financial strategy in alignment with business goals, growth plans and market conditions.
  • Advise the CEO / Founders on long-term financial planning, funding strategies and expansion feasibility.

2. Cash Flow, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Oversee cash flow, working capital and budget allocation across departments.
  • Conduct revenue forecasts, margin analysis and scenario-based financial modeling.

    • 3. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings).
  • Lead audits (statutory / internal), manage risk and maintain insurance coverage as needed.
  • Investor Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
  • Prepare MIS, P&L and cash flow statements for board / investor presentations.
  • Track performance KPIs and align financial health with stakeholder expectations.

    • 4. Marketplace & D2C Payment Oversight

  • Monitor reconciliation processes across marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.), D2C websites and payment gateways (Razorpay, PayU).
  • Ensure timely settlements, claim tracking and dispute resolution.

    • 5. Accounts Team Leadership

  • Oversee Finance Managers, Accountants and teams handling sales-purchase entries, returns, taxes and claims.
  • Build SOPs and ensure timely monthly closings, tax filings and audit preparations.

    • 6. Cost Control & Profitability Optimization

  • Analyze cost centers and drive optimization across warehousing, logistics, marketing spends and vendor terms.
