Designation - General Manager Function Domestic Sales & Marketing

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to - Business Head Nutrifix

Direct Reportees - 4-5

Department Consumer Products Division - Nutrifix

Indirect Reportees 1-2

Role Objective : Lead development and execution of marketing strategy focusing on brand growth and consumer engagement. Oversee campaigns that boost brand awareness and contribute to business objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy and Business Development

  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy aligned with business goals to drive brand growth and customer engagement
  • Manage marketing budgets to optimize resource allocation, ensuring spending aligns with strategic priorities
  • Guide market research and analysis to understand trends, consumer behavior, and identify growth opportunities
  • Identify and propose expansion strategies for potential markets to capitalize on growth opportunities

Brand Management

  • Lead brand-building initiatives, including positioning, messaging, and creative development across all marketing channels
  • Monitor brand performance to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Develop plans to mitigate risks to brand reputation and ensure effective crisis communication
  • Digital Marketing and E-commerce

  • Lead digital marketing, social media, e-commerce and quick commerce strategies to enhance online presence and customer engagement
  • Design and oversee promotional campaigns, PR, and marketing efforts across various channels
  • Drive marketing innovation and experimentation to stay ahead of industry trends and technologies
  • Implement data analytics to gain insights into customer behavior and campaign performance, facilitating informed decision-making
  • Drive social listening and proactively collect insights and take corrective action for any negative sentiments
  • Regularly drive positive consumer sentiments, reviews, ratings & feedback across platforms
  • Product marketing and Innovation

    Drive product marketing efforts, including product launches, packaging and pricing strategy

  • Foster innovation and product development to meet consumer needs and market demands
  • Develop a systematic approach for incorporating customer feedback into product development
  • Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with key stakeholders, including business partners, agencies ( creative, media, event) , vendors, and other entities
  • Lead partnerships with media agencies, advertising platforms, and technology providers to optimize media spend and brand visibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales , R&D) to ensure alignment with marketing strategies
  • People and Culture

  • Promote and embody the USV Credo
  • Oversee recruitment to ensure availability of talent
  • Conduct periodic reviews and develop team members, ensuring continuous growth and development
  • Oversee regular training to ensure the team has the latest knowledge and skills to excel and drive the organisation forward

    Interaction with : HODs, Sales, Corporate Services, Finance, HR, R&D, Supply Chain, Corporate Quality Assurance, Training, Sales Force Automation, BD, Legal

    Nature of Interaction : Provide updates, inputs, and seek resolutions, coordinate joint tasks, negotiate, influence, share market information, provide insights and conduct trainings

    Type of Interaction : External

    Interaction with : Agents, Vendors, Customers, Consultants, Industry Peers

    Nature of Interaction : Negotiating, gathering information, providing instructions and feedback, closure of assigned task, resolving queries, and networking

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Professional Experience and Relevant Skills

  • Minimum of 15-18 years of overall experience in FMCG preferably Consumer Products. Experience in nutraceutical industry will be an added advantage
  • Must possess proficiency in leveraging data to make strategic marketing decisions and drive business growth. Must have strong expertise in driving innovation within marketing initiatives and leading high-performing teams. Must demonstrate the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and possess excellent communication skills
  • Academic Qualifications & Certifications

  • Educational Qualification : Master of Business Administration with specialization in marketing or equivalent from premier B-school
