Senior Program Manager for Driver Experience - ICUC Component Ownership, System Engineering for FUSO ICC and connectivity features - USB, Bluetooth, Wifi, Infotainment. Ownership of certification for Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
Description
- Lead the team which is responsible Instrument cluster (ICUC) for globally for Daimler Buses, MBT and DTNA
- Responsible for xOTA (FOTA) development
- System Engineering & design responsible for FUSO Instrument Cluster (ICC)
- Responsible for certification of Android Auto and Apple Carplay for HMI EVO & DTOS (VIC)
- Responsible for all connectivity interfaces for HMI components – USB, BlueTooth, Wifi, HD Radio
- Responsible for competency building and promoting innovation
Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibility:
- Create a strategy to work with internal teams and vendors for delivering Software for Instrument Cluster units (ICUC) for all global markets – MBT, DTNA and Daimler Buses. This includes Requirement Engineering, Supplier coordination, Component Test Bench testing, Plant / aftersales coordination. Defect and issue handling.
- Be a strategic partner to global Driver experience topics – Feature onwer for xOTA, Certification (Android Auto, Apple Carplay), HMI Connectivity – USB, BlueTooth, WiFi, HD Radio
- System Engineering & design responsible for FUSO Instrument Cluster (ICC)
- Foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
Operational Responsibility:
- Plan and Track progress & Commitments and achieve results within the approved project schedules, estimated costs /efforts and quality plan
- Maintain contracts, SLAs, and ensure vendor performance aligns with program goals.
Financial Responsibility:
- To ensure optimum resourcing in order to supply the demands of the business.
- To lead the operational planning by predicting the optimally realistic numbers leading to cost planning of the company.
People Responsibility:
- To build the highly competent team to undertake the global responsibility of Infrastructure planning and delivery of Daimler Truck AG.
- To provide the career roadmap to the people by negotiating the skillful opportunities within DTICI.
- To ensure retention of the right talent and knowledge by creating the positively competitive environment within the team.
- To bring passion in re-skilling and up-skilling of the team with the latest technology as per organization’s technology landscape.
- To ensure the future ready team by rightly identifying the work opportunities as a result the vendor dependence be minimized.
Qualifications
- 13 - 18 yrs industry exp with B. Tech/M. Tech in EE Engineering or any associated disciplines
- 2+ years working experience on handling SW development & Validation
- 2+ years of knowledge and experience in embedded SW Development and digital validation (HIL / SIL / CTB)
- Strong Experience in Instrument Clusters & HMI Domain domain (Application SW / base SW / Hardware)
- Strong Experience with ECU (Component) responsibility, supplier handling, plant and aftersales interactions
- Experience with HMI specific areas – Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB, Bluetooth, Wifi, HD Radio
- 2+ years working experience on User Experience and related topics
- 2+ years of strong experience in People Management
- Deep understanding of technology / systems engineering is essential for this role
- Strong Experience in Project Management
- Experience in complete software development life cycle including functional safety & Cyber security
- Experience with Devops processes and tools like Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Static Analysis tools
