Deputy Manager / Manager - Audit and Compliance

Job Description

Role will be responsible for preparing accurate Financial Statements, managing statutory audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IndAS, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements. The role includes overseeing audit activities, liaising with related stakeholders, and ensuring the organization's Financial Statements and Reporting comply with statutory obligations. Role will also be responsible for maintaining and managing the company's Fixed Assets Register, ensuring accurate computation of depreciation and WDV.

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of Financial Statements in compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ('GAAP') and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
• Review audit reports and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Plan and coordinate statutory audits with external auditors and internal teams.
• Monitor changes in regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws, and ensure timely implementation within the organization.
• Ensure that financial disclosures are accurate, complete, and consistent with applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth audit processes. Coordinating with statutory auditors to finalize Financial Statements – Take complete ownership of timely signing of financials, proactively working with stakeholders to identify & resolve possible issues
• Coordinate with internal departments (tax, treasury, legal, etc.) to ensure all compliance requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all audit-related activities.
• Periodic BS reviews, clearing aged transactions
• Supporting in Tax Audits – Provide inputs to tax team and closely work to resolve queries. Support timely finalization of tax audit report & filing tax return.
• Supervise and mentor audit staff, ensuring proper allocation of responsibilities and training.
• Maintain the Fixed Assets Register.
• Ensure the accurate calculation and posting of depreciation in line with the applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Review and update depreciation methods and useful life estimates as necessary.
