Basic Functions :

The responsibilities of the Engineering Manager will be to lead a team of engineers, participate as a member of the division’s leadership team in driving sustainable, profitable results, and recruit, select and develop the talent needed to sustain and grow Nucor. This individual should be a creative, forward-thinking, process-minded, effective communicator to join our team. Additionally, the Engineering Manager’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

• Lead the division’s detailing and engineering efforts in alignment with Nucor and NTS expectations.
• Recruit, select, and develop the right team with a balance of technical, business, and leadership skills.
• Develop and manage the systems and processes necessary for effective execution of near and long-term division strategies.
• Provide guidance and expertise in relevant engineering codes and standards.
• Support division efforts in innovation through collaborative problem solving and technical support.
• Provide leadership in division and group projects that target and produce the highest returns for Nucor.
• Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
