Job Specifications

Experience : 8 to 10 Years

Qualification : B.E. Civil / M. Tech (Water Resources / Irrigation / Environment)

Skills and Knowledge :

• Knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and software used for same (Water GEMS). Must have experience as design engineer for water supply pipeline project or Irrigation projects.
• Knowledge of Water Supply Scheme & Irrigation PDN projects structures i.e. Intake Well, Jack Well, Sump Cum Pump House, WTP, MBRs, ESRs, GSRs, Thrust blocks and Anchor blocks, etc.
• Knowledge of different types of Pipes, Valves, Pumps, design manuals and relevant IS codes.
• Knowledge of Water GEMS, AutoCAD, ArcGIS and E survey Software is MUST.

Job Description

1. Determinations of water requirement calculations of Water Supply Schemes & Irrigation pipe distribution network projects.

2. Preparation of Zone / Water User Association Block, chak planning of Project.

3. Preparation of Pipeline Layout planning of Water Supply Scheme & Pressurized / Gravity pipe distribution network Irrigation Project.

4. Preparation of Hydraulic design of Water Supply Scheme & Pressurized / Gravity pipe distribution network Irrigation Project on Water GEMS software.

5. Preparation of L-Sections of pipeline design on AutoCAD and E survey Software.

6. Carry out investigations, surveys, design, engineering calculations and preparation of working drawings and estimates for water supply schemes & Pressurized / Gravity pipe distribution network Irrigation Project.

7. To work out item wise bill of quantity of Project.

8. To work out quantity estimation and bar bending schedule from drawings.

9. Design approvals from government department and vetting institutes.

10. Travelling on site / Government department for convincing, scrutiny & approval.

11. Report writing and presentation skills is necessary.
