Senior Software Engineer

We're hiring our first Software Engineer to build control and imaging software, unifying the user experience and data pipelines of our Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).

Your mission

Make a complex instrument feel simple. Build the control software that delivers quick first image, synchronized multi-channel acquisition, and analysis-ready data with rich metadata, wrapped in a user-friendly UI.

What you'll do

• Own the control layer that unifies imaging, analytics, motion, safety, and diagnostics.
• Implement a high-throughput, lossless data pipeline with structured metadata. With a focus on reproducibility.
• Design guided workflows (with smart defaults and checks) so new users are productive immediately.
• Add self-tests and logs that shorten service loops and de-risk installs.
• Collaborate with Electronics and Optics to validate features end-to-end and raise the quality bar of our SEM.
